The Global Climate and Energy Project
Professor Sally Benson
New energy supply technologies will be essential to sustain adequate energy supplies while dramatically reducing greenhouse gas emissions over the coming decades. The Global Climate and Energy Project at Stanford supports a broad portfolio of fundamental scientific research underpinning a new generation of energy technologies with significant potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This talk will discuss the portfolio strategy and evolution of the past five years beginning with an assessment of global exergy resources and their subsequent transformations. Examples of GCEP-funded projects and future directions will also be provided.
