SCCS Classroom 111

The purpose of SCCS Room 111 is to provide a classroom at SLAC for hands on computer classes. When the room is not being used for classes, it's available for public use. The main contact for the room is Arla LeCount. The Help Desk at x4357 and SLAC Computing Services Admin Office at x2287 can also help with room scheduling.

Use of Classroom 111

Things you should know:

  • A projector has been mounted on the ceiling of room 111, you'll need the remote to turn the projector on and off. Please make arrangements to check out the remote with the Help Desk.
  • Check the Computers to make sure the software you need is installed on the machines. These are public machines when not in use by a class and users have been known to change configurations.
  • It is the responsibility of the person organizing the class to arrive early to check the machines and to make sure everything is fully operational before the class.
  • If you find a problem, contact the Help Desk.
  • When room 111 is not in use for scheduled classes, users are welcome to use the machines for appropriate SLAC use as long as you leave the workstations as you found them.
  • Please DO NOT bring food or soft drinks into the class room, we have a terrible ant problem.
  • You are welcome to send your suggestions, request to Arla LeCount.
  • Please DO NOT change the settings on the machines and DO NOT remove any of the current software.
