Hardware: New Macintosh systems should not be purchased. Please write out a purchase requistion to contact your own vendor if your Macintosh needs hardware repair. Software: Services: Windows NT servers provide a common file space that can be shared by both NT and Mac users, and is also backed up. When SLAC migrates to Windows 2000, due to the inability of Mac clients to authenticate with the more secure NTLMv2, this services is not likely to continue if we cannot find some other alternative. Appletalk -- On 30 September 2001 the AppleTalk protocol will no longer be routed between subnets on the SLAC network (see also talk). ARA(Apple Remote Access) service has been discontinued as of 1 January 2001.
