Authenticated/Secure Outgoing SMTP Server - Exchange 2007
- Prerequisites
- Windows userid must be same as what is before the @-sign in your primary SLAC email address (e.g. windows userid = joeuser and primary email address = joeuser@slac.stanford.edu).
- The From: address on your emails must be your primary SLAC email address.
- Mozilla Thunderbird
Server Name: email.slac.stanford.edu Userid: your-userid Connection Security: STARTTLS Authentication Method: Normal password Port: 587 Outlook 2007/2010 IMAP-mode Server Name: email.slac.stanford.edu Userid: your-userid Use the following type of encrypted connection: Auto Port: 587 Require logon using Secure Password Authentication: No Pine smtp-server=email.slac.stanford.edu:SSL/user=your_windows_userid Mac Mail (Only if using IMAP mode) Server Name: email.slac.stanford.edu Authentication Type: password Userid: your-userid SSL: Yes Port 587
