Authenticated/Secure SMTP Server
We are testing this service, which uses your Windows account for sending
e-mail. We also are going to test a Unix Auth/Secure SMTP Server. One or
both of the servers may be
kept for production service at SLAC.
- Prerequisites
- Windows userid must be same as what is before the @-sign in your
primary SLAC email address (e.g.
windows userid = joeuser and
primary email address = joeuser@slac.stanford.edu). We hope to have
a fix for this problem eventually.
- Must have Exchange account. However, it is not required that you use
it for reading email. Exchange Admins can set the account up so all
e-mails are forwarded to another e-mail account.
- Mozilla Thunderbird Vsn 1.0
