Configuring WXP for Dial-Up Access to SLAC

The dialup number is: 650 223 0172

With desktop set to the Windows XP Style From the Start menu click Control Panel. In the Control Panel click on Network and Internet Connections.
Click on Network Connections.
Click on Create a new connection.
Click the Next button.
Select the Connect to the network at my workplace button.
Select the Dial-up connection button.
Enter a name for this connections e.g. SLAC
Enter the dialup phone number - 2230172
Select the Anyone's use button
Check the Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop button. Click the Finish button. Click Cancel on the Connect window.

To make a dialup connection double click the shortcut you created on your desktop.
Enter your dialup account name for Username.
Enter your dialup password for Password.
Click the Dial button.

Back to the Dialup home page.
