This applies to existing SLAC Windows NT 4 workstations that have not yet migrated to Windows XP.
Standard software is recommended for use at SLAC. SLAC has a standard network install using the Boot Floppy. SCS or your local administrator will install and configure Windows NT 4 client computers that conform to the recommended hardware. Computers will be configured with a standard hard disk setup consisting of a single partition, formatted NTFS, with the Windows NT 4 operating system and the free and site-licensed software listed below. Note that SCS's support is only for installation of this software; information on their use should be obtained elsewhere.
