Dynamic IP User Responsibilities

At SLAC, "dynamic IP" is defined as accessing the SLAC network via DHCP, VPN, or dial-up. One of our biggest computer security risks comes from the use of our network by dynamic IP computers. The following minimum requirements must be maintained or the dynamic IP capability (DHCP, VPN, or dial-up) will be removed.

• Software Maintenance
  • Maintain the software per the Software Use Policies page.
• Contact Information
  • The e-mail address which is shown in the SLAC Phone Directory must be able to reach the person.
