Suspected Infection Procedures

• If any computer connected to the SLAC network is suspected to be infected it will be cutoff from the network immediately.
• The CSC is notified by SLAC Computer Security.
• The Primary User and System Administrator noted in the CANDO database are e-mailed regarding this action.
• BEFORE the system will be allowed back on the SLAC network:
  • All SLAC passwords must be changed
  • IT MUST BE REINSTALLED, INCLUDING FORMATTING THE HARD DRIVE
• After the system has been reinstalled a follow-up scan will be performed by Security.
