Dear Science Bowl Participants,
Welcome to the DOE 2005 Bay Area Regional Science Bowl at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. We are excited to host this event for the first time at SLAC.
Enclosed in this packet is information and an overview of what you will need to know about gaining access to SLAC, the day’s agenda, and a few other items of interest. SLAC, like LBNL and Sandia are national labs that require a photo i.d. to enter. All adults, upon arrival will be asked to show a government issued picture i.d. (drivers license, passport, military i.d.). In addition, we will need to have a list of names and addresses for all participants and their guests prior to your arrival. You may either fax (650/926-5379) or e-mail (pao@slac.stanford.edu) the list to the Public Affairs Office. This list will be given to the main gate and checked at your arrival. Upon arrival the security personnel will direct you to Visitors parking which will be near the Panofsky Auditorium. The Panofsky Auditorium will be the starting point for the day which will begin with refreshments and registration.
