The Laboratory, except for a few areas, will be closed from the end of the day Friday, December 20, at midnight through the end of the day Sunday, December 29, at midnight (see Calendar, page 3).

Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25 are University holidays. December 23, 26, and 27 are non-paid days when staff will have to use personal time or vacation time to receive full pay (there may be a few staff with unusual schedules for whom the exact dates will be somewhat different). SSRL staff will have a slightly different schedule due to operational requirements; SSRL management will inform staff of the schedule.

SLAC will be open for work on December 30 and 31. Staff are encouraged to take vacation on those days, giving themselves almost two weeks off at this special time of year. Even though the Lab will be open, there will be minimal services available from administrative units.
