Guest House Construction Builds Momentum

Commenting on the status of the SLAC Guest House
construction, Project Supervisor Bob Hitchens said, "We are scheduled to
start framing the first week in October and the project is scheduled to be
finished in May 2003 depending on the weather this winter." Framing the
building will take 10 to 12 weeks, then the roof will be put on and
interior work can begin. Unless we have a raging El Niño this winter, plan
to see our new guest facility taking shape by the end of this year and
ready for visitors by the end of the academic year.
