When an illness or injury
in an employees close family requires the employee to be off work, the
employee may use a maximum of 15 days per calendar year of his/her own
sick leave.
If any additional time off for family sick leave is
necessary, the employee may use his/her vacation, birthday holiday or PTO
time. When this leave time is exhausted, family sick leave is unpaid.
