31st SLAC Summer Institute: Cosmic Connections

We would like to announce the 31st annual SLAC Summer Institute (SSI). This year’s Institute will be on ‘Cosmic Connections to Particle Physics’ and will take place July 28 - August 8. The program and registration are available at: http://www-conf.slac.stanford.edu/ssi/2003/

The physics of the very large and the very small share deep connections. A revolution in experimental cosmology has changed our picture of the universe in the last decade and is sharpening important questions in particle physics. This year’s SSI presents an excellent opportunity for students as well as experienced physicists to deepen their understanding of the universe and its relation to particle physics. The lecture series will explore such connections in a manner that is accessible to an audience with a particle physics background.

We hope to see you at SSI 2003!

Program Directors: JoAnne Hewett (TH), John Jaros (EA), Tune Kamae (GLAST), Charles Prescott (EA)
