Kausalya (Kay) Ganapathi (MD) was visiting her family in
Chennai (previously called Madras) and was an eyewitness when the south
Asian tsunami struck the Indian coast. Tidal waves struck the port city of
Chennai and its surrounding villages. Ganapathi will give her eyewitness
account of the disaster and local relief efforts.
She will also present the Tamil Nadu Relief Project that
she is organizing, sponsored by the newly formed Disaster Relief At SLAC (DRAS)
organization (http://www.draslac.org).
