Game Summary

Experiment defeated Theory by 15-1 in the Annual Softball game on Saturday, October 2. Notably this is an identical ratio from last year, when Theory emerged victorious. A perfect afternoon for SLAC Softball. It was much more enjoyable than the majors with the Giants losing 7-3 to Dodgers on grand slam HR in 9th, effectively ending their season!)

Bill Kirk MVP Award Recipients

The second annual Bill Kirk MVP Award went to Experiment regular Ron Cassel for being a triple threat to Theory with his early slide to first, the game homer and fielding all 3 outs in the last inning. Cassel accepted the MVP honor awarded by Experiment Captain Mike Woods and commented on this meaningful tribute to Bill Kirk's legacy and the tradition of the Game. The MVP Selection Committee presented Cassel with a SLAC t-shirt. A second award was given to Theory Captain Joanne Hewett for stoicism in the face of adversity. Woods and Nina Stolar presented Hewitt with a SLAC baseball cap.
